Three arrested in land grabbing case in Ariloava

VISAKHAPATNAM: Ariloava police on Saturday arrested three persons on charges of grabbing a land measuring about 400 sqyds which was sold by its owner some 26 years ago.

The owners of the land hasd sold it one Nirmala and Nagamani, natives of Hyderabad who live in Singapore at present. According to Arilova inspector Tirupathi Rao, a rowdy-sheeter Gudla Laxman Reddy and his two associates-Gudla Yellamma and her husband Gudla Chinna Apparao-demolished the boundary wall and occupied the 400 sqyard land. The owners lodged a complaint with the Arilova police in June. The police, during the investigation, found that the stretch was sold to the complainants by the ancestors of Gudla Yellamma in 1990. A case has been registered.
