RINL chief chants 'excellence' mantra

VISAKHAPATNAM: Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) chairman-cum-managing director P Madhusudan advocated the ‘excel’ mantra to rebuild the dreams and emerge as the most efficient plant in the country. The early ramping up of production from the new units, ‘excel’ in all spheres of operations with disciplined efforts, cost optimisation and revenue maximisation, expansion of customer base and leverage inherent potential he added.

The CMD unfurled the Tricolour at the Independence Day celebrations at Ukkunagaram and inspected guard of honour presented by the CISF.

Madhusudan highlighted the need to explore new ways to complete the tasks efficiently and constantly look out for avenues to pioneer new markets to realise sustainable growth and also increase the customer base and market share.

The CMD observed that in the present market scenario, cost should be the most important factor and stressed the need to inculcate the cost culture across the organisation. Focus efforts on energy efficiency, new technological initiatives such as pulverised coal injection in blast furnaces, effective waste utilisation, research and development interventions leading to product innovation and process improvement leading to substantial savings, Madhusudan said.

The CMD explained that 2015-16 registered major achievements including completion of 6.3 Mtpa expansion. The current scenario warrants a change in approach to demonstrate in true potential to build a truly great company, he added.

Directors (Projects) PC Mohapatra,  (Personnel) GBS Prasad, (Operations) DN Rao and (Commercial) P Raychaudhury, CISF senior commandant Jocab Kispotta and a large number of employees and officials were present along with their families.  Visteel Mahila Samiti honorary president Gowri Annapurna and president Bindoo Mohapatra graced the occasion.
