Stone laid for DGP office at Mangalagiri

GUNTUR: Foundation stone was laid for the construction of Director General of Police (DGP) office on the premises of APSP 6th Battalion at Mangalagiri in Guntur district on Friday.

Home Minister Nimmakayala Chinnarajappa, who performed the ground breaking ceremony, said that the building would come up on 75,000 square feet area. “Initially, we will construct G + 3 building and will increase up to five floors in the future,” he said.

He said that as per the aspirations of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who is keen on shifting the entire administration to the new capital Amaravati at the earliest, the police department has taken up the construction of the building to shift all employees of DGP office from Hyderabad.

Ministers P Pulla Rao, Kamineni Srinivas, R Kishore Babu, and DGP N Sambasiva Rao were present on the occa-sion.
