10 more check-in counters at airport soon

VISAKHAPATNAM: The airport advisory committee meet was held here on Monday to discuss passenger facilities at the Vizag airport and measures to make it user-friendly.

According to the airport director Vinod Sharma, “New water purifiers and reverse-osmosis plants will be installed and 10 check-in counters will be added to the existing 20. Five new pathways will also be laid from the parking space to the terminal building.”“Duty-free shops and new outlets will also start functioning soon, the director added.

With the increase in connectivity of flights, the passenger movement has also increased by 61% this year, said a committee member. MP K Hari Babu, the chairperson of the committee advised the airport authorities to renovate the existing toilets and to enhance service and facilities.
