VISAKHAPATNAM: Finance minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu said the government has decided to provide own buildings to all the government departments who are functioning from rented buildings.
The minister inaugurated the Commercial Taxes office at Chinagadili constructed at a cost of Rs 4.5 crore on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that the government has given a target of Rs 52,000 crore to the Commercial Taxes department.
Yanamala appealed to the traders and the public to pay their taxes in time and help the government continue welfare and development programmes.
The government has sanctioned Rs 10 crore for the Commercial Taxes buildings and first phase construction was completed.
Once the second phase construction is also complete, all the commercial taxes wings will be shifted into the complex.
The finance minister said that the state is running with a revenue deficit of Rs 17,000 crore.
