Complete tanks desiltation in Kuppam within 15 days: CM

CHITTOOR :Within 15 days, desiltation of all the tanks in Kuppam constituency should be completed, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu ordered here on Monday.

Complete.jpgAs part of his two-day visit to the district which concluded on Monday, the chief minister conducted a coordination meeting at Kuppam R&B guest house with the ZPPs, MPPs and sarpanches. They explained about the drought conditions in all the mandals in the constituency.

Asking the elected representatives to work in tandem with officials for fruitful results to overcome drought, Naidu assured completion of the Handri-Neeva project by December-end and provide water to Madanapalli, Punganur, Palamneru and Kuppam constituencies.

The Chief Minister also  promised Gudipalli farmers insurance to compensate their crop losses. He announced that Vinay Chand will be the special officer for drought-related issues  and he would look after the distribution of rain guns and other benefits to farmers. “Transport minister Sidda Raghava Rao is the district in-charge to exclusively look after the drought works,” he said.
