ELURU: District Collector K Bhaskar flagged off an energy conservation rally of APEPDCL at the indoor stadium in the city on Wednesday to mark Energy Saving Week.
Speaking on the occasion, he said West Godavari district stood first in the country in sanctioning domestic power connections. LED street lights were already installed in municipalities.
As many as 902 Panchayats in the district will soon have LED street lights as part of an initiative to conserve power, he said.
