VISAKHAPATNAM : Power generation was disrupted at the NTPC Simhadri Super Thermal Power Plant at Parawada in the city after one of its four 500 MW units developed a technical snag on Wednesday.
In the late evening, the power generation was hit at the third unit. The engineering officials rushed to the plant and started the restoration works.
“We are working to fix the glitch. It will take at least 24 hours to restore the power generation at the unit,” said a senior official of the plant.
However, there will not be any impact as the other three units are generating power as usual, he said.
