2,079 reconstituted plots distributed among ryots

The Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) officials on Wednesday distributed reconstituted plots to farmers who parted with their lands under the Land Pooling System (LPS).

VIJAYAWADA: The Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) officials on Wednesday distributed reconstituted plots to farmers who parted with their lands under the Land Pooling System (LPS), at Borupalem and Kondamarajupalem villages in Amaravati capital region. As many as 2,079 plots were distributed among farmers in both residential and commercial categories in both the villages.

In Kondamarajupalem village, the CRDA pooled 763.67 acres from 568 farmers and in return, handed them over as many as 711 residential plots and 547 commercial plots. In Borupalem village, the CRDA pooled 349.56 acres from 346 farmers and gave them as many as 480 residential plots and 341 commercial plots.
At a programme organised on the premises of the CRDA office in Thullur, CRDA Commissioner Ch Sreedhar along with Tadikonda MLA T Sravan Kumar allocated the plots to the farmers through computer lottery system. Within seconds, farmers got SMS alerts on their mobile phones mentioning the location of their plot. The farmers were also given the documents of their plots at the counters set up on the same premises.
