ELURU: The West Godavari district administration is making all arrangements for the inauguration of Chandranna Dalita Bata programme at the Indoor Stadium in Eluru on October 28.
Addressing the district officers coordination committee meeting here on Monday, Collector K Bhaskar said on Monday that Social Welfare Minister Ravela Kishore Babu will inaugurate the programme at 10.00 am on October 28 and disburse loans to the eligible poor Dalits. He said the scheme was aimed at achieving economic development of the Dalits.
He expressed his dissatisfaction over the implementation of e-filing in various departments. He was sore that at least 16 district-level officials did not even see the files for the past one week. “Even during my official tour abroad, I had cleared files,” the Collector said.
He expressed anger over the assistant director of mines Mohan Rao for his negligent attitude and though he had been surrendered to the government, the latter managed to stay put in the district. The Collector said he would write to the government asking it to take disciplinary action against the official.
Joint Collectors P Koteswara Rao and MH Sheriff and housing project director Srinivas participated in the meeting.
