Narrow escape for Jagan as car veers off road

HYDERABAD: YSR Congress (YSRC) party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had a close shave on Wednesday morning, when his speeding car swerved across and veered into bushes after a puncture.

En route to Hyederabad from Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh, Jagan and convoy had reached Palamakula of Shamshabad mandal in Rangareddy district of Telangana when one of the tyres of his car was punctured. The driver swiftly applied breaks, and the car went off the road, into the bushes, but without leaving passengers injured.

"Because of the alertness of the driver, nothing happened either to the car or to the YSRC chief," local people told Express.

As the tyre was being replaced, Jagan stood there surrounded by security personnel; the group left before long, added locals.

This is second time the YSRC chief is escaping from a car accident narrowly.

Earlier, as he was touring Praskasam district of Andhra, Jagan’s car hit another car in the convoy. He escaped unhurt then as well.
