VIJAYAWADA: Vacancies in the Forest Department stood at 35 per cent in the State. This was disclosed by none other than Forests and Environment Minister Sidda Raghava Rao.
The Minister, who organised a review meeting with the officials at the Interim Government Complex at Velagapudi on Wednesday, said that he would soon discuss the issue with the Chief Minister and would take steps for filling the vacancies.
He said that the seized red sanders logs will be put up for auction to generate revenue for the State.
