70 years of Indo-Russian ties celebrated at RINL

A team led by Boris Dubrovsky, Governor of the Chelyabinsk Region of Russian Federation, on arrival in the city on Friday, visited the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant. Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited P Madhusudan welcomed the delegation.

VISAKHAPATNAM: A team led by Boris Dubrovsky, Governor of the Chelyabinsk Region of Russian Federation, on arrival in the city on Friday, visited the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant. Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited P Madhusudan welcomed the delegation.

They visited the Model Room, Coke Ovens and Wire Rod Mill-2. A meeting was organised at the multi-purpose hall at Ukkunagaram to commemorate the 70 years of Indo-Russian Relations.


On the occasion, Boris Dubrovsky said that Russia highly valued its relations with India. “The visit would help the Russian delegation come up with new ideas to further collaborate in industrial development,” he said.

Later Dubrovsky felicitated five employees of the VSP as a token of appreciation for their contribution to the RINL that furthered the development of commercial and economic relations between Chelyabinsk and the state of Andhra Pradesh.

Madhusudan said by building up traditional relations between Delhi and Moscow on mutual trust, the establishment of the Vizag Steel Plant with the Russian co-operation and technology was a major landmark in the industrial development of India and particularly Visakhapatnam.
