Empty shell in roadside drain in Visakhapatnam scares citizens

One object in the shape of a missile metallic barrel found in a roadside drain at Adarsh Nagar of Arilova created panic among people on Monday. They got scared that it might explode at any time.   

VISAKHAPATNAM: One object in the shape of a missile metallic barrel found in a roadside drain at Adarsh Nagar of Arilova created panic among people on Monday. They got scared that it might explode at any time.   

The residents in th eocality after noticing the missile metallic barrel got panicked. Many people gather near the drain,but they did not dare to go near it, with the apprehensions that  it might explode.

Upon information, police rushed to the spot and seized the object. After a thorough check-up by the bomb disposable squad and Navy officials, the cops declared that it was a test-fired empty shell from the Navy demonstrations/defence/fleet review events held earlier.

“As we received the information about the defence material which was found at Adarsha Nagar, informed the same to the bomb disposable squad and Navy officials. After a thorough examination, they declared that it was an empty shell only and there is nothing to pnic about. Navy officials informed us that they would take the object tomorrow,” said Ch Tirupathi Rao, CI of Arilova.
