Bring down crime rate in State to zero with effective policing: CM Chandrababu Naidu

The State government is ready to provide all facilities to the Police Department, but it should work hard to ensure law and order, says Chief Minister.

GUNTUR: Andhra Pradesh Police, at last, have got a home, that too a state-of-the-art one at Mangalagiri in the district.Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday inaugurated the new complex constructed by the AP State Police Housing Corporation with an investment of Rs. 39.77 crore. The foundation stone for the police headquarters was laid by Home Minister N China Rajappa on October 24 last year.Speaking on the occasion, Naidu felt happy that a beautiful building has materialised for housing the Police Department. He distributed prizes to the AP State Police Housing Corporation officials for completing the construction of the building in a record time. He suggested that policing should be invisible. 


“The State government is ready to provide all facilities to the Police Department, but it should work hard to ensure law and order,” the Chief Minister said.Referring to encomiums earned by the Octopus in dealing with terrorism, extremism and communalism, Naidu said the law and order wing of the Police Department should also work efficiently, which is possible only by adopting the best technology.Naidu asked the police to bring down the crime rate to zero in the State. The use of latest technology would enable the police to serve the public better. The government is planning to provide housing to every policeman in the State, he added.
