VISAKHAPATNAM: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the Vizag land scam is all set to expedite its investigation with multi-dimensional investigation methods. The SIT had already directed police to book cases against inspector of survey Gedela Lakshmi Ganeswara Rao. SIT also moved a petition in the Vizag special ACB court on Wednesday requesting permission to take the accused into their custody for further inquiry. Meanwhile, the SIT arrested one person, Damodara Chandrasekhara Rao, car driver of Ganeswara Rao, on Wednesday. 

Ganeswara Rao had allegedly issued a pattadar pass book for 2.3 acres of land in  Madhurawada limits in the name of his driver.  SIT officials also found that Ganeswara Rao issued pattadar pass book in the name of his driver’s uncle P Veeraa Rao too for an extent of 6.87 acres of land at Madhurawada limits.
SIT officials are also planning to conduct lie detector/Polygraph tests on Ganeswara Rao to get more information. The SIT may soon approach the court for permission for the same. Now, the SIT officials are interrogating  Chandrasekhara Rao to find out more details about the conspiracy plot around the land records tampering by his boss Ganeswara Rao and his allies.   

Further, on the directions of SIT authorities, a team comprising revenue and police officials conducted field visit and inquired about the land grabbing/records tampering cases in SR Puram village limits. 
SIT DSP P V Krishna Varma along with Pendurthi Tahsildar L Sudhakar Naidu, Revenue Inspector Ravikrishna and Surveyor Venkanna visited the river-let (Gedda) sites of survey numbers 112 and 113 sub-divisions in SR Puram village limits (Pendurthi mandal). The team found that a site of 15 cents out of the total 44 cents in S.no: 113 were encroached upon.In the S.No: 112/ 2 site, private person occupied 5.94 acres of land and they tried to construct five multiplex buildings on the land. 
Now, the SIT officials are preparing ground to take further action against the culprits based on the Tahsildar’s report. 


In a similar development, Parawada Tahsildar Malleswara Rao and other pfficials visited  Desapatruni palem D-patta lands on Tuesday and inquired about the physical possession of the lands. Later, he ordered the D-Pattadar holders and others to come to the Tahsildar’s office with documents to prove their ownership.

Now, the SIT officials are interrogating  Chandrasekhara Rao to find out more details about the conspiracy by his boss Ganeswara Rao and his allies.
