Panel to look into complaint

Guntur government hospital superintendent Dr D S Raju Naidu on Thursday constituted a committee to look into sexual harassment complaint lodged by nursing students.

GUNTUR: Guntur government hospital superintendent Dr D S Raju Naidu on Thursday constituted a committee to look into sexual harassment complaint lodged by nursing students.It may be mentioned here that 25 second year nursing students lodged a complaint accusing their classmate Dorababu of harassment at the Kothapet police station in Guntur on Wednesday. They also sought Women’s Commission chairperson Nannapaneni Rajakumari to intervene in the issue and render justice to them.

The GGH superintendent constituted a committee comprising deputy superintendent P Yasodhara, L Nageswaramma, P Lokeswara Reddy, M Srinivasa Rao and nursing superintendent grade-1 K Pushpavathi. He said action would be taken after the committee submits the report. 
Meanwhile, Dorababu tried to commit suicide by consuming pesticide late on Wednesday night. 
He was immediately rushed to the GGH. His condition is said to be stable.
