VISAKHAPATNAM: Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu presented a cheque for `5 lakh to the bereaved parents of Dredging Corporation of India Limited (DCIL) employee N Venkatesh at INS Dega here on Friday morning as announed earlier. Meanwhile, DCIL CMD Rajesh Tripathi announced another `5 lakh ex gratia to the bereaved family. Union minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju along with several MLA’s and leaders were present at the occasion.
Rajesh Tripathi also donated his one day salary to the family of the deceased.
Addressing the DCIL employees at a special condolence meeting organised at the head office on Friday, Rajesh Tripathi made the announcement and instructed the officials to complete the formalities immediately. the CMD appealed to all employees not to take any hasty decision in the face of challenges.
