TIRUMALA: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has taken up modernisation works of Vakulamata Potu inside Srivari temple where Anna Prasadam for Srivari Naivedyam is prepared. 
Tirumala Joint Executive Officer KS Sreenivasa Raju on Friday said works were under way at Padi Potu and additional Potu at VQC for the past two months and the laddu production will henceforth be hiked by another 50,000 to 80,000 per day from December 20. Presently, 2.8 to 3.1 lakh laddus are produced there daily.

Capacity enhancement works for laddu boondi preparation are afoot and will be completed in four to six months. The issue of staff in Potu and additional Potu has been resolved, he said.
The JEO said all arrangements for Vaikunta Ekadasi on December 29 and Dwadasi on 30 were taken up on a war footing and will be reviewed on Tuesday.With the objective of providing better convenience to common devotees, the TTD has suspended VIP breaks from December 23 to January second week, except for protocol VIP breaks. From January first week, all applicants will have to provide Aadhaar card ahead of issue of tickets, the JEO said.

Time -Slot Darshan
With an aim to provide quicker darshan to devotees in Sarva Darshan and reduce their waiting time in Vaikuntam queue complex, the TTD plans to experimentally allot time slots from December 18.
Disclosing this to media, the Joint Executive Officer said 117 counters have been set up at 14 places of Tirumala to issue tokens for Sarva Darshan (free darshan) on a pilot basis for 5-7 days for all devotees with Aadhaar cards. Only such devotees with tokens will be given entry at Divya Darshan Complex.

The token system for Sarva Darshan will be fully operational after two months with suitable changes based on the feedback from devotees, the JEO said, adding that devotees without Aadhaar card can have darshan through Sarva Darshan complex.
