ACB raids properties of Bheemili Tahsildar BTV Rama Rao

Teams of ACB are conducting raids at four places in Vizag, one place at Rajahmundry and two places at Hyderabad.

VISAKHAPATNAM: Officials of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Wednesday raided the residence and properties of Tahsildar of Bheemili, BTV Rama Rao, across the state. The raids were made on the charges of having amassed properties disproportionate to his known sources of income. 

According to sources, teams of ACB are conducting raids at four places in Visakhapatnam, one place at Rajahmundry and at two locations at Hyderabad.

Teams led by ACB DSP K Ramakrishna Prasad are conducting raids in Visakhapatnam, at the Tahsildar's house near Chekkudurai building, his in-laws house and also friends houses.

Sources said that till now the ACB have unearthed around Rs 41 lakh cash, gold, some documents of valuable properties. Four lockers at various banks are also yet to be opened by the ACB. The raids will continue till evening and more details are yet to be ascertained by the evening.
