VIJAYAWADA: Tainted doctor Chagalamari Venkata Dasaraiah and his accomplice ward boy Vinukonda Yehoshua who were arrested on Friday were sent to judicial custody till February 3 by the ACB Special Court in Vijayawada on Saturday.
After the arrest of the 53-year-old HoD of the Vijayawada Government General Hospital for alleged corruption, ACB officials have made it clear that tainted doctors wouldn’t be spared under Prevention of Corruption Act.
According to ACB officials, this is the first time in three years that an accused has been caught through entrapment.
An officer said the agency was now keeping a strict watch on several doctor suspects.
