ELURU: ACB sleuths opened the locker of Ravipati Annapoornaiah, warden of integrated social welfare hostel, at the SBI branch in Canal Road in the city on Tuesday and found 400 grams of gold ornaments and 500 grams of silver articles worth Rs 10 lakh.
The ACB conducted simultaneous raids on the properties of Annapoornaiah and his relatives in Eluru, Tanuku, Mogalthur, Satrampadu, Vijayawada and Hyderabad on Monday and unearthed ill-gotten wealth worth J50 crore. An ACB team led by DSP Gopalakrishna, visited the SBI branch and opened the locker of Annapoornaiah. The arrested warden was produced in ACB Court in Vijayawada on Tuesday, which remanded him for 15 days.
