KURNOOL: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu ordered officials to speed up the construction of houses sanctioned to beneficiaries. He directed to ensure facilitating tap connections to every house in rural and urban areas besides supplying 20 litres purified drinking water at `2 per litre.
The CM addressed a review meeting held on the development of Nandyal town with district officials at Roads and Buildings (R&B) Guest House on Sunday. He said it is the responsibility of the officials of Roads and Buildings, Panchayat Raj and Municipal department to get the sanctioned works completed. He ordered the director of Municipal Corporation Kanna Babu to initiate steps for cleaning unwanted shrubs and garbage in the town. He said that Nandyal has to be beautified like Visakhapatnam.
He also ordered the concerned officials to ensure steps for facilitating fiber grid at every village in the constituency.
The CM directed to replace electric poles wherever necessary during the road widening works in the town. Tourism Minister Bhuma Akhila Priya, Information and Technology Minister Kalva Srinivasulu, Minister for Agriculture Somireddy Chandra Mohan Reddy, District Collector S Sathya Narayana, Joint Collector Prasanna Venkatesh and other district officials and contractors participated in the meeting.
Later, the CM also participated in TDP activists’ meeting in the same place and suggested them to be alert on public issues. He said that all problems of people should be solved with the coordination of officials and good relations should be maintained with common man.
