VISHAKAPATNAM: Union civil aviation minister and TDP MP P Ashok Gajapathi Raju on Friday called out media reports that claimed he intervened to get a boarding pass for Anantpur MP JC Diwakar Reddy, who was denied a boarding pass at Vishakapatnam Airport.

The minister tweeted, "I will get the entire incident at Vizag Airport enquired to find out the exact details and ensure that lawful outcomes follow."

Condemning a national media house for a report which claimed that he had helped JC Diwakar Reddy board the same flight to which he was denied a pass for arriving late, Ashok said, "This is false reporting. There was no such intervention."

Speaking to media in Vizianagaram on Friday, the Union minister said that JC Diwakar Reddy claimed that he was on time, but the CCTV footage suggests otherwise.

"It was also clear from the CCTV footage what he had done at the airport and action will be taken as per the law," he said.
