Zilla Parishad chief asked to quit by TDP

Anantapur Zilla Parishad Chairman Chaman Sab was asked to quit the post to pave way for another TDP leader Pula Nagaraju.

VIJAYAWADA: Anantapur Zilla Parishad Chairman Chaman Sab was asked to quit the post to pave way for another TDP leader Pula Nagaraju.

During a meeting with the party leaders from Anantapur district at his residence here on Saturday, Chief Minister and TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu instructed Chaman to resign from the ZP chief post. As per the party decision, Chaman is supposed to be in the chair for two-and-half-years and the same should be occupied by Nagaraju for the remaining period.

But, the Chief Minister had reportedly directed him to tender resignation immediately as per the party policy.
