Amadalavalasa, Tekkali police stations up for massive makeover

Two police stations at Amadalavalasa and Tekkali have been selected by the government to be developed as the model police stations.

SRIKAKULAM: Two police stations at Amadalavalasa and Tekkali have been selected by the government to be developed as the model police stations. The police stations will be equipped with the state-of-the-art facilities, with its building wearing a corporate look.
“After a model police station was inaugurated in Guntur recently, the state government has picked up a few more station which will be developed on the same line. Amdalavalasa and Tekkali police stations in the district will get a makeover in the first phase,” says Amadalavalasa CI Naveen Kumar.
The buildings will have posh furniture, spacious separate chambers for each officer and high-end surveillance mechanism.

Special arrangements will be done for those who come for lodging complaints, he says, adding that plans are afoot to provide special uniforms to the personnel too.  
In sync with the government policy of Digital AP, these stations will be equipped with advanced digital technology, wherein the transactions at each level will be done online. CCTV cameras, Wi-Fi facility and digital monitoring system will also be installed.
“If things go as planned, the model police station would be come into being by the next year,” says the CI.
Separate teams have been engaged by the government to supervise the construction of model police stations across the state, he adds.
