Employees from Telangana seek relocation to Hyderabad

The employees mentioned that as many as 238 employees having local status in Telangana are working at the AP Secretariat.

VIJAYAWADA: A group of Class III and Class IV employees from Telangana, who are discharging their duties from the AP Secretariat, on Saturday submitted a memorandum to Labour Minister K Atchannaidu and urged him to take initiative for sending them to the Telangana Secretariat.

The employees met the minister ahead of the meeting ministers of both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in the presence of Governor ESL Narasimhan in  Hyderabad on Sunday to  discuss the issues relating to scheduled IX and X institutes and the AP State Reorganisation Act.

In the representation, the employees mentioned that as many as 238 employees having local status in Telangana are working at the AP Secretariat.

"Assuming that we will be relocated to Hyderabad sooner than later, we have left our families there and are working in Amaravati now. Living away from families has put a lot of stress on us," the officials said.

Responding positively towards the appeal of the employees, the minister assured to raise their issue during the meeting with the Governor.
