YSRC MLAs seek debate over SSC paper leak, disrupt AP Assembly

Immediately after the Speaker started the proceedings of the House with Question Hour on Tuesday, YSRC members rushed into the well demanding a debate over their adjournment motion.

VIJAYAWADA: The opposition YSRC MLAs on Tuesday served an adjournment motion on the SSC question paper leak demanding action against Narayana Educational Institutions, which belongs to Municipal Administration Minister P Narayana, following which, Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao adjourned the House for 10 minutes.

Immediately after the Speaker started the proceedings of the House with Question Hour on Tuesday, YSRC members rushed into the well demanding a debate over their adjournment motion.

But, with the Speaker making it clear that any business will only be allowed after Question Hour and appealing the opposition party leaders to cooperate for the smooth conduct of the proceedings, the YSRC MLAs remained at the Speaker's Podium and disrupted the business of the House by raising slogans against the government and also seeking action against Narayana Educational Institutions, which they blamed responsible for the leakage of class X question paper.

After the Speaker made it clear that business will only be allowed after Question Hour, and appealed to opposition leaders to cooperate for smooth conduct of the proceedings, YSRC MLAs remained at the Speaker's Podium and disrupted the business of the House. 

They raised slogans against the government and sought action against Narayana Educational Institutions, which they held responsible for the leakage of the class 10 question paper.

While leaders from the ruling TDP and BJP appealed to YSRC leaders to cooperate in order to conduct Question Hour, opposition leaders continued to raise slogans until the Speaker adjourned the House.
