KADAPA: Andhra Pradesh police on early Wednesday arrested 14 red sanders smugglers from across the district, and seized 41 red sanders logs weighing half a tonne.
The arrested included Sivalingam Sridhar, who is considered close to international red sanders smuggler Sahul Bhai.
According to Additional Superintendent of Police (Operations) B Satya Yesu Babu, the police also seized 10 cell phones, two SUVs and one bike.
Three teams intercepted the smugglers at Savisettypalle on Mydukuru Porumamilla road, Akkalreddypalle in Porumamilla mandal and at Chennamukkapalle on Kadapa-Kurnool national highway in Khazipet mandal.
