VISAKHAPATNAM: A huge turnout was witnessed as the Jana Sena leaders began the party’s cadre recruitment drive in Visakhapatnam district on Friday.

People from all walks of life including retired employees, students, graduates, working women and others made a beeline for the recruitment venue at Sri Krishna Vidya Mandir since morning. And there was a proper examination to join the party of actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan.

The aspirants were assessed keeping three things in view-oratory and presentation skills, content writing skills and analytical skills.“Every one has some talent and our party founder Pawan Kalyan want to tap the talent for the development of the state,” said Jana Sena media head P Haribabu.

There is no age barrier to write the examination and people irrespective of caste or religion are welcome, he said, adding that the basic idea was to build a mechanism that would work as an effective delivery system.

“Probably for the first time, such method is being conducted by a political party to recruit party men locally,” Haribabu added. “It's almost 30 years since I wrote an examination. This made me nostalgic. However, I feel that this is the correct way to chose party members,” said retired bank employee G Krishna, who wrote the exam.
