VISAKHAPATNAM: Andhra Pradesh Women’s Commission chairperson Nannapaneni Rajakumari on Wednesday said women should bobbitise men who tried to rape them. She opined that girls should carry knives and be prepared to use them in self defence if such a situation arose. Nannapaneni, who visited the victims in the gangrape case at KGH on Wednesday assured them justice.

Recalling the incident in which a 23-year-old from Kerala cut off the penis of a self-styled godman who had been raping her for close to a decade, the senior TDP leader said women shoulld take a leaf from the brave woman’s book. The godman, in a desperate attempt to save face, had told cops he cut his genitals off himself as he had no use of them.

Speaking to newsmen on the gangrape of two minor tribal girls in Chintapalle, Nannapaneni said it was an unfortunate incident. “The Telugu Desam government will make all possible efforts to get the accused punished severely.

I offered to help the tribal girls in their further studies, but they are uneducated. The government will provide them some employement by giving them skill training,” she said.

Advising girls not trust people they meet on social media blindly, Nannapaneni warned of the dangers posed by the cyberworld.
