‘Assets worth Rs 10.72 crore seized from IFS officer’

VISAKHAPATNAM: Having recovered disproportionate assets from Indian Forest Service officer and Forest Development Corporation of India General Manager Mutayala Ram Prasada Rao during raids on his properties, the CBI officials registered a case against the officer on Wednesday.  A communique issued by the CBI here stated that properties worth D10.72 crore disproportionate to the known source of income of Rao, who also worked as the chief vigilance officer of the NTPC, were seized during the raids conducted on the properties belonging to him and his family members in Meerut of Uttar Pradesh and Tanuku in West Godavari district. During the raid, incriminating documents and D37.25 lakh were also seized.
