CM directs officials to distribute 21 lakh mosquito nets across State

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has instructed the officials of health department to distribute 21 lakh mosquito nets across the State in a span of 10 days.

VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has instructed the officials of health department to distribute 21 lakh mosquito nets across the State in a span of 10 days. During a review meeting conducted on Thursday, Naidu interacted with the health officials and instructed them to take all the necessary measures to control seasonal diseases in the State.He further said that all the hospitals and laboratories should be equipped with the necessary infrastructure and materials required for diagnosing seasonal diseases. 

The TDP supremo further said to use the services of available doctors. “Seasonal fevers are usually caused by mosquitoes. Officials should plan in advance to control mosquitoes every year, prior to the breakout of seasonal fevers,” he added.The Chief Minister further warned the health department officials that he would take stern action against those found guilty of dereliction of duty. 

“Every person in the department should work hard and try to control the spread of seasonal fevers in the State. Details of the working of Thalli Bidda Express should be uploaded online and made available to the public. The department should take up awareness campaigns in villages, rural areas and tribal agencies. In Integrated Tribal Development Agency regions, specialists should be appointed to offer medical services,” he added.
