GUNTUR:Food and Public Distribution Department Joint Secretary Pramod Kumar Tiwari has told the traders not to fear the GST regime. He said that he would take the issues of traders to the notice of the Union government.
The Central Excise Department organised a meeting on the problems being faced by the traders post rollout, at Central Excise office here on Monday. The Central Excise Department received representations from the traders during the meeting. Pramod Kumar said that he was touring various parts of Andhra Pradesh to know about the ground level problems of traders and report the same to the Union government.
“The Central government implemented the GST in the country on July 1 and the one nation, one tax policy will benefit the traders,” he said.
Consumer Services Association members of AP and TS released the posters to create awareness among consumers on how to look for the ISI mark while buying products.
District Collector K Sasidhar, Central Excise Commissioner M Srihari Rao and others participated in the meeting.
