Don’t put pressure on your children: DGP N Sambasiva Rao

DGP N Sambasiva Rao has advised parents and teachers not to put undue pressure on children to score high marks in the public examinations, as that would make children overstrain themselves.

GUNTUR: DGP N Sambasiva Rao has advised parents and teachers not to put undue pressure on children to score high marks in the public examinations, as that would make children overstrain themselves, resulting in suicides.

The DGP interacted with students of ZP High School at Eturu village in Guntur district on Monday and distributed sports kits to them. He exhorted the students to give equal importance to academics and sports.
Speaking on the sidelines of Police Commemoration Day celebrations, he said, “The police department always remembers the sacrifices made by its personnel in the line of duty. The department is taking all necessary steps to help the families of martyred policemen.”

Later, the DGP and other officials participated in the Swachh Bharat programme and planted saplings on ZP High School premises.The DGP along with other officials also visited Police Boys Hostel in Guntur.
Guntur Urban SP Ch Vijaya Rao and other officials took part in Swachh Bharat programme at Urdu High School on Old Bus Stand Road and ZP High School at Pattabhipuram in Guntur district.
APSP IG RP Meena, Guntur Range DIG K V V Gopala Rao, Guntur Rural SP Ch Venkata Appala Naidu and other officials participated.
