Thunderstorm likely to occur in Telangana, AP in next 48 hrs

HYDERABAD: Meteorological Department here on Friday warned that a thunderstorm accompanied with gusty winds is likely to occur at isolated places in Adilabad, Nizamabad, Nirmal, Jagitiyal, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Medchal, Peddapalli, Kamareddy, Jayashankar Bupalapalli, Warangal Urban and Rural, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Sangareddy, Vikarabad, Medak, Rajanna Siricilla districts of Telangana during the next 48 hours.

In a bulletin, it also warned that thunderstorm accompanied with gusty winds is likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari and West Godavari of North Coastal Andhra Pradesh and in all the districts of Rayalaseema during the same period.

Heavy rain is also likely to occur at isolated places in Adilabad, Nizamabad, Nirmal, Jagtial, Komaram Bheem, Manchiryal, Paddapalli, Kamareddy, Jayashankar Bhupalapalli, Warngal Urban and Rural, Badradri Kothagudem, Mahabubabad, Khammam, Kamareddy, Sanga Reddy, Vikarabad, Medak and Rajanna Siricilla district of Telangana during on July 7 and 8.

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers is likely to occur at a few places or many places in Telangana, at few places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh and isolated places in Rayalaseema during the next five days.

Heavy rain occured at isolated places in the districts of Mancherial, Peddapalle, Kamareddy, Adilabad, Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla, Nizamabad, Nirmal and Kumaram Bheem of Telangana during the last 24 hours.

Rain occurred at most places in Telangana, at a few places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and isolated places in Rayalaseema during the same period, the bulletin said.
