Union Minister Nitin Gadkari to launch projects of Rs 6,688 crore in Andhra Pradesh

The Minister will also inaugurate port projects worth Rs 1,062 crores, a statement said here.

NEW DELHI: Minister of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, Road Transport & Highways and Shipping Nitin Gadkari, who is on a three-day visit to Andhra Pradesh will lay the foundation stone for and dedicated to the nation several National Highways and port connectivity projects in Andhra Pradesh, worth Rs 6,688 crores.

The Minister will also inaugurate port projects worth Rs 1,062 crores, a statement said here.

Earlier on Wednesday, Gadkari accompanied by state Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu visited the Polavaram Dam and saw the physical progress of the project.

Notably, the Minister had visited the dam site in the first week of October last year.

He is visiting the dam site to see the progress of work since then.

Gadkari will also hold a review meeting with senior officials from the Ministry, on the progress of the ongoing projects of all major ports and inland waterways in the country.
