Andhra Pradesh: Minister Opens IIT-Medical Academy at Gurukul school

Minister for Social Welfare N Anand Babu inaugurated the IIT-Medical Academy in the Gurukul Pathasala of the Social Welfare Department at Gorantla in Guntur district on Wednesday.

GUNTUR: Minister for Social Welfare N Anand Babu inaugurated the IIT-Medical Academy in the Gurukul Pathasala of the Social Welfare Department at Gorantla in Guntur district on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, he said more than one lakh students are studying in 188 Gurukul Pathasalas in the State. The students of Gurukul Pathasalas are doing well in IIT, JEE, NEET and other competitive exams. Therefore, the government has started the IIT-Medical Academy to provide better coaching for them.

He said the government has taken steps to ensure good education to schoolchildren to compete with students of corporate colleges.

He further said the students should make use of the opportunity to scale new heights in their career.

CM N Chandrababu Naidu is ready to sanction funds as per the requirements of students. He said the CM has directed the officials to encourage talented students. Former minister MLA R Kishore Babu, and Gurukul Pathasala secretary K Ramulu were present.
