More seats for foreign language courses at Andhra University

Due to growing demand for foreign languages in Andhra University, the  officials have decided to increase the intake of students.

VISAKHAPATNAM: Due to growing demand for foreign languages in Andhra University, the officials have decided to increase the intake of students. In a release here on Wednesday, AU Vice-Chancellor G Nageswara Rao said the intake for Diploma programmes in German, French, Japanese, Spanish and Soft Skills was increased from 40 to 50 students. More Defence personnel are opting for these diploma courses along with employees and housewives.

On Wednesday, the Vice-Chancellor appointed DVR Murthy, Head of the Department of Foreign Languages, as  Chairman of the Board of Studies of Journalism and Mass Communication.

Murthy said the Department of Foreign Languages is offering six-month evening diploma courses in German, French, Japanese, Spanish and Soft  Skills. Admissions for the courses have commenced and the classes are likely to begin in September.

MTech, MBA courses

The notification has been issued for admission into various MTech/MPlanning evening courses (for locally employed persons), MBA (Full-Time) with special fee structure and PG Diploma and Diploma courses offered at AU campus colleges at the university on Wednesday.
