State tops in welfare schemes, says Chandrababu Naidu

Every government department should be equipped with the latest information about the welfare schemes being implemented and the same should be taken to people, he said.

VIJAYAWADA: Asserting that Andhra Pradesh stood top in the implementation of welfare schemes, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has directed the officials to sensitise public on the same during the ongoing ‘Grama Darshini’ programme.

Every government department should be equipped with the latest information about the welfare schemes being implemented and the same should be taken to people, he said.

During a meeting with ministers and officials of welfare department on Wednesday, Naidu said his government is implementing several schemes for the benefit of BCs, SCs and STs and maintained that no other government gave such importance to social welfare. Special officers and liaison officers will be deployed to supervise Anna Canteens, he said.
