KAKINADA: Students of Mulagapudi ZP High School in Rowthulapudi mandal on Friday staged a protest in front of the headmaster’s room demanding the dismissal of teacher who allegedly harassed them.
The students complained that Tentu Krishna Kesava Rao, who teaches Telugu subject in the school, used unparliamentary language and touched them inappropriately. As a part of their protest, they refrained from partaking of midday meal.
When the issue was taken to the notice of district education officer A Abraham, he immediately directed mandal education officer (MEO) SV Naidu to visit the school and conduct an inquiry. The MEO enquired about the issue from the students. He was also asked to submit the report to DEO soon.
The students also warned that they would not attend classes unless the teacher was dismissed. The students have also alleged that the school management was serving rotten eggs to them.
