ELURU/ VIJAYAWADA: YSR Congress (YSRC) president YS Jaganmohan Reddy has promised to allocate Rs 1,100 crore in the State Budget to do justice to AgriGold victims if his party is voted to power.
Addressing a mammoth public meeting at Tanuku in West Godavari district as part of his Praja Sankalpa Yatra on Tuesday evening, he alleged that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was trying to take over AgriGold properties with benami names by not doing any justice to the victims.

He said the State government was making different statements on the AgriGold property value. “They (Chandrababu and Co) are decreasing the value of AgriGold assets in a planned manner. The ministers and Naidu’s Son Lokesh are conspiring to rob the assets of AgriGold group” he said. The Leader of the Opposition said Naidu’s visit to Delhi was not for the special category status, but to hold a discussion with Essel group which participated was bidding for AgriGold properties. “I raised the issue of AgriGold victims in the Assembly several times,” he said and promised to do justice if his party comes to power.

Meanwhile, YSRC party MP P Mithun Reddy has said that the resignations of party MPs are part of the fight for SCS and TDP leaders speaking morals will not go down well with the public in the backdrop of back-to-back scams involving top ruling party leaders.   Speaking to mediapersons on Tuesday,  he said, “We have given the resignations in the required format and the TDP leaders’ comments on the issue is ridiculous as the ruling party in the State has no sincerity.” He opined that if all the 25 MPs form the State had resigned en masse, the impact would have been different.

Meanwhile, senior party leader Bhumana Karunakar Reddy said the cross-border corruption of Naidu came to the fore with the revelations secured in audio tapes in the AirAsia scam which describes the TDP president as a potential lobbyist who can broker deals internationally.
