14-year-old boy booked for sexually assaulting 2-yr-old in Andhra Pradesh

The issue came to light after the family members of the victim lodged a complaint at the local police station in Vajrapukotturu, on Wednesday, evening.

SRIKAKULAM: A case was registered against a 14-year-old boy under the provisions of POCSO Act, within the limits of Vajrapukotturu police station, on Wednesday, after he allegedly sexually assaulted a two-year-old girl. The alleged incident took place, on Tuesday, at Bendi village of Vajrapukotturu mandal.  
The issue came to light after the family members of the victim lodged a complaint at the local police station in Vajrapukotturu, on Wednesday, evening.  According to the Vajrapukotturu police, on Tuesday, the boy abducted the girl while she was playing with other children on the street at around 6.30 pm and took her to a nearby isolated place. The girl began to cry as the boy tried to force himself on her. The grandfather of the victim saw the incident and saved the child. 

He also tried to nab the boy on the spot. However, the boy managed to flee the spot. The villagers however, came to know about the issue later in the evening. Realising that there was little hope to get justice for the little girl in any other way, they approached the police and lodged a complaint.
