Vema Reddy’s relative Kamala, an old woman, said initially two miscreants entered the house and started beating her mercilessly and pushed her to a corner. She said she had fallen on the floor in the melee. The duo opened the almirah with the keys they snatched from her and picked up a black bag which contained Rs 78 lakh cash.
