Andhra Pradesh Transco to form panel for Aarogya Ratham implementation in tribal areas

VIJAYAWADA: For the effective implementation of Aarogya Ratham, the Mobile Medical Unit service launched by the Andhra Pradesh Transco in the tribal areas of Srikakulam district, the officials of power utility are planning to constitute a committee shortly.

Once constituted, the committee will also take steps to extend the services to all agency areas at the earliest.

In a press release on Sunday, the AP Transco officials said the project received an overwhelming response since its launch. The project, which is a part of the Corporate Social Responsibility of AP Transco, is being implemented in 68 remote and inaccessible villages in Srikakulam district.

AP Transco C&MD K Vijayanand said the committee would be chaired by AP Transco JMD Dinesh Paruchuru and other directors of AP Transco to oversee the day-to-day activities and expansion of the project. “So far, close to 2,500 persons were treated in the MMUs between May 4 and June 15 in Seethampeta and Etcherla,” the officials said.
