VIJAYAWADA: The Left parties will support the Kadapa district bandh, to be organised on June 28, demanding the Centre to establish a Steel Plant in the district.

A round table conference was held in the press club here on Thursday, in which Opposition YSRCP, Jana Sena and Left party leaders participated.

Speaking on the occasion, CPI state Secretary K Rama Krishna said that the Left parties were extending support to the call, given by the student and various other organisations, for Kadapa district bandh.

The Left party leaders demanded the Centre to fulfill the AP Re-organisation Act 2014 provisions.

Referring to BJP AP Unit President Kanna Lakshminarayana's statement that the BJP-led NDA government had fulfilled 85 per cent of AP re-organisation Act assurances, the CPI leader dared Mr Lakshminarayana for an open debate on the issue.
