When the matter came up for hearing, the bench asked the petitioners’ counsel for directly approaching the high court in stead of APAT on the issue pertaining to service matter.

In reply, petitioners’ counsel PV Krishnaiah told the court that at present there were only chairman and one judicial member in APAT, and no administrative member in the tribunal. To resolve the above issue there was a need to have one administrative member in the concerned bench. Hence, the petitioners have approached the High Court directly, he added.Taking these submissions into consideration, the bench directed the AP state chief secretary to inform by which date the administrative member would be appointed for APAT and adjourned the case hearing to June 27.
