GUNTUR : A man allegedly killed his parents at Morjampadu village in Machavaram mandal of Guntur district on Thursday. According to Sattenapalli DSP V Kalesha Vali Rao, Duggu Pulla Reddy (65) and his wife Purnamma (55) have one son Narasimha Reddy and a daughter Lakshmi. Narasimha Reddy, an RMP by profession, was residing at Addanki in Prakasam district.
He urged his parents several times in the past to shift to Addanki after selling away the properties, which they declined. Meanwhile, Narasimha Reddy came to Morjampadu on Wednesday to attend a marriage function. His parents engaged a few workers to construct a toilet in their house. In the afternoon, the workers went out for lunch and when they came back they were shocked to see the bodies of elderly couple lying in a pool of blood. They immediately informed the matter to neighbours, who in turn informed the police.
The police are suspecting that Narasimha Reddy might have committed the crime as he went missing after the murder of his parents and his mobile was switched off. The police shifted the bodies of the couple to Sattenapalli government hospital for autopsy. A case has been registered and investigation is on.
