VISAKHAPATNAM: Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan has said that the JSP will usher in a new and clean political system in AP if it wins a majority of seats in the 2019 elections. “As I started my career as an actor from north Andhra, my political journey will also start from here and I’ll stay with the people who showered me with love and affection and will serve them till my last breath,” he said. 

The Jana Sena chief welcomed several leaders and famous personalities, including former Indian cricketer Y Venugopala Rao, former BC Corporation chairman and TDP leader from Gajuwaka Kona Tata Rao, industrialist from Anakapalle Konathala Sitaram, Vizag’s Balaji Schools chairman Mandava Ravikumar and V Ramachandra Rao from West Godavari district along with their followers, into the party by offering them scarves at a programme at Sai Priya Resorts here on Thursday morning.

Speaking at the function, Pawan said, “Jana Sena Party election manifesto will be prepared after consulting intellectuals. The party will conduct training classes for the cadre from July 2 and around 3,000 party workers from each district will be selected for the training programme. "Uttarandhra region is not a backward area but it was made backward by the leaders. The Jana Sena Party will develop the region if it comes to power," Pawan said. 

In the evening, Pawan visited the surrounding areas of Vizag port, several drainage canals and conveyor belt area at One Town to know about pollution and other civic problems. He interacted with several local people and enquired about the pollution-related problems arising from the port.
