CBI row: Telugu Yuvatha leader injured while burning PM Modi’s effigy in Andhra Pradesh 

The protesters poured petrol on the PM’s effigy and lit it, but the flames suddenly spread and singed Telugu Yuvatha leader S Chaitanya, who got injured.

GUNTUR: A Telugu Yuvatha leader got injured while burning the effigy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a protest against corruption within CBI, in Guntur on Thursday. The TDP leaders, along with activists, took out a rally and later gathered at Lodge Centre. 

The protesters poured petrol on the PM’s effigy and lit it, but the flames suddenly spread and singed Telugu Yuvatha leader S Chaitanya, who got injured, while trying to sidestep the flames. He was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. 

Guntur district party president and Vinukonda MLA GV Anjaneyulu alleged that the BJP intentionally conducting Income-Tax raids on TDP leaders in the State to tarnish the party’s image. 
Stating that the Centre-State relations were at its lowest ebb, he said that the Prime Minister never helped the State. 

Furthermore, BJP leaders were spreading a false propaganda against the ruling government, which is objectionable. 

Zilla Parishad chairperson Sk Johnymoon, NTR Mirchi Yard chairman M Subba Rao, Telugu Yuvatha leader R Saikrishna and other leaders participated in the protest.
